I think you have to consider a wainscot with chair rail because you don't want water to damage the wallpaper.

Paper all the walls. Room is too small to visually chop it up further.

Is this a DIY wall paper job? It will be a ton easier if you pop the toilet and sink out. Not too difficult to do really--you will have to buy a new toilet ring possibly.

Gorgeous wallpaper!! I think either could work, with wainscoting, or chair rail with paint below, or full walls of paper. If you aren't currently having a problem with water on the walls, then I wouldn't worry so much in a powder room. If for some reason it does get damaged, at some point, you could add the wainscoting.

I love the look of wainscoting on the lower part of a bathroom with wallpaper above. However, it does look like a very small room. What is on the other two walls? what are the dimensions of the room? It will be more $$ and more work to install both wainscot and wallpaper, so you need to weigh that as well.

Thanks all! I’m still torn. I think wainscot would be practical for my kids but I think with such a small room, all paper is prettier! This is not a DIY job, I have a prof installer. I would not even try haha! Room is 8 feet ceiling, longest wall is 6 feet and shortest wall is 4 feet and 46 inches deep.

Hard to take photo of other part of the room. It’s small! We have patched holes so don’t judge the paint job!

I see what you mean about not having much room between the wall and the side of the sink to add wainscoting. I think I'd do wallpaper on all walls from floor to ceiling.
