I wouldn't mix quartz with natural stone. We have marble tile in our bathroom, floor and shower, and a quartz vanity top and I don't think they look good together.

I agree with cheri127. It's probably best to choose either natural stones or man-made countertops, but not both. Two different countertops and two different cabinet paint colors might be too many things competing or demanding attention. And how are you going to manage seamlessly transitioning to the pennisula area of the kitchen with those different elements?

Stick to using either natural stone or all quartz. I have Silestone “charcoal soapstone “ quartz in my kitchen and love it; no issues.
