hi question … is your pool above or below ground… do you use your pool all year round and what size is it?

The pool is below ground, under screen enclosure. Its little over 10x20' and 5' deep. Yes, its available all year, but the water is too cold for me most of the year, I'm located in central Florida. The plumbing is 2" exterior, 1.5" interior. And the solar plumbing is 2.5" exterior and 2" interior

Thank you for the answers! … the reason I asked is that I have researched most all of the ways to bring heat to a pool… most of these always have the same result… a gain of only 10 degrees in the temperature… i am sure now that you have researched this too… have you been told how much increase in temperature you may receive with the solar setup?

I've purchased the same exact setup as my friend had installed by a pool company. They have 5 panels for a 13k gallon pool. The highest temperature increase they had was around 15 degrees. They had to switch the controller lower because it was getting too hot in the summer. However most reviews online state that it's usually 5-10 degrees. We'll see how it works out, 10 degrees is still better than nothing :P

agree… it helps a little!! best of luck on setting it up …as far as the panel set up … you should be fine as far as sun goes… it may be best to keep them as close and as accessible as possible … perhaps your friend can advise as to what maintenance the panels require (cleaning) … it may be important after awhile…. … i have enjoyed this discussion and would look forward to an update as to how it works out! im sorry i can not advise a pump size … that is probably more based on the size (gallons) of your pool
