Good question. Don't know yet. This was done by #1 daughter in her new to her home. Each piece was applied peel and stick.

I recently used some in a back mudroom area. Before hanging the peel & stick, I hung wallpaper liner on my walls so they were smoother. The liner is also kind of paper like on the surface so I think it helped the peel & stick adhere better.

It was pretty easy, although not without some challenge. I did it myself mostly except for a small area where I needed DH's help to support the hanging roll.

I found this same pattern in regular wallpaper that would have costs me around $2,000 for this small area, but the peel & stick was less than $200. Even without kids and dogs, it was worth it to me!

These are darling. I can't see a seam anywhere. Neither is in a kitchen or bathroom so I wonder if they would start to peel near a stove or microwave.

I recently added peel and stick to the back of a bookcase (Roommates brand). Super thin, reminded me of cheap contact paper. Personally would not use on a wall.

@Maggie200 Here are some pics of the Peel & Stick I used in my guest bath (from Spoonflower). it is printed to order on various materials, so I had the smaller version of the print printed on fabric for the shower curtain.

And I have to agree with @maggieq - I bought some Roommates brand P&S for a different project but did not care for the quality for a wall, so ended up using it on the inside of a cabinet. I have also used York P&S wallpaper (Kaleidoscope) in a laundry area and a grasscloth-like P&S wallpaper from Tempaper in a bedroom. I think the Spoonflower paper is the best quality.

AM, intersting about the grasscloth-like paper. Was it textured too or just looks like it?

@justcallmepool the grasscloth-like paper does have a texture to it. Obviously, I have commitment issues and am a big fan of P&S. LOL.

@Fori I think the York looks good (and everyone comments on the appearance) but is a bit vinyl-y feeling. The Tempaper grasscloth is decent quality for the price. This thread is turning into therapy since we have now confirmed my frugality, in addition to my fear of commitment.

@Maggie200 I am most assuredly not a professional! More like bored at home in a 100 year old cottage during a global pandemic. And therein lies the beauty of good old P&S wallpaper. You can try it on for a while and no harm if you don't like it b/c minimal investment of time and money.

I will take The Scream since we had already determined (after putting it up) that it resembles something else that I cannot unsee!

Spoonflower is trouble. I just wasted a lot of time there. There are far too many options!

Full disclaimer - I have no idea how to actually HANG this P&S wallpaper! BUT, I do have a contractor who has gotten pretty good at it...

I've done wet wallpaper and I've done a peel and stick mural and I really do prefer the process of P&S. No towels all over, no glue running down your arms...

@Maggie200, We purchased the sea pearl quartzite first and then I wanted something fun for the walls. My kids hated it (their bathroom), but too bad as it's my house! LOL

My daughter's came from TARGET!!! She is a huge DIY'r and had planned to cut a terrazzo pattern with her Cricut machine. She came across these offered by Target in the exact colors she wanted--sooo much easier than the original plan. It took HOURS because each piece is individually placed--so no seams. Again the longevity/quality has yet to be tested as it is only a month old. Never heard of wall paper liner. That would have come in handy back in the day after HOURS of scraping my mom's sand paper texture and it still bled through our wall paper job. I was wondering if there were a sealer/poly that daughter should now apply that would help it all stay put?

Arcy, if those terrazzos are like the Xwings in my kid's room, they will stay put without any sealer. I even moved a few space craft after a few years and they have stayed in their new location just fine.

Wsea, I'd love to see that installed. It's quite a statement!

@wsea GO FOR IT! That is amazing! What is the worst thing that can happen? You don't like it, take it down and line some drawers with it.

Paint isn't cheap either! Plus the equipment to apply it...

AMAZING wears of more quickly than just fine paint. The more bold/individualized/themed one makes things the faster we tire of it--"they" say, so something to think about. Graphics date fast.

Also three years in, my daughters peel and stick terrazzo are still stuck no sealing. Tough to seal over vinyl.
