If the door on the left is a coat closet.........Take the door off the closet and turn that into your mudroom. No room for a bench and using the closet will get all the shoes off the floor and give you that bench.

Change out coats and shoes seasonally and then toss, donate, or sell every season.

Hi, the door on the right leads to an entrance way for our tenant upstairs, so that is off limits and the door to the left leads downstairs to the basement which is for the downstairs rental unit. What is shown in the picture is literally the only space I’m working with, unfortunately, which has been a challenge! Just looking for ideas what I can put on that wall.

Ikea has a shoe cabinet that may work on that wall. It is narrow, so most of your shoes should work in there. The ones that don't can go on the shoe mat.

Add a mirror or art over the cabinet.
