Could the primary bedroom give up a little space for a bathroom next to the current bath?

Hey, thanks for that suggestion. I thought about taking up some bedroom space, but it would have made the bedroom cramped. So, I started playing around with my layout and I came up with this...

I live on a crawl space. Has anyone ever moved a bathroom? What would be the ballpark cost of that?

This would mean your kids/guests are either sharing the main bathroom, or are going to have to parade through the living room post-shower. My folks' house is laid out like this, and it sucks.

This seems like the only viable spot.

This is not exactly to scale, but I think it will fit, and it gives you a bench and coat storage area, or a shallow pantry, just inside the garage entry, to isolate the bathroom door. It also diverts traffic from the work areas in the kitchen. Plus, since the bathroom shares a plumbing wall with the kitchen, it should be less expensive.

Powder room/pantry version:

Can you provide a to-scale drawing? You need a full bathroom with at least a shower in the bedroom wing for family and a powder room for visitors. The fireplace must face the living room. The kitchen appears to be about 4’x 17’.

This looks like a challenge. I would keep it over by the secondary bedrooms and expand master to include the bath already there. Maybe just a powder room behind kitchen.
