I dont know of any window companies that breakdown price for windows and install. Most do give a package price as you stated. A car manufacturer doesnt give you the price of the parts and price of labor. Maybe a guy that works out of his garage and ” does everything” and picks up his windows from the local hardware store; a guy like that may do that.

Typically no unless they also sell the product alone.

Not usually. My older contracts had some line items for capping and other stuff, but it was not really reflective of the cost for those given items. Just more of a boilerplate contract based on an Excel spreadsheet.

I don't break proposals into labor and material and I'm wary of potential customers who ask. It's none of their business.

We never breakdown price nor does any other window company I am familiar with. If someone asks us to do that, we dont. Its a ridiculous request in my opinion.

As the others have stated, pricing in this industry is almost universally offered as an installed service. There are 101 different ways for a company to structure their pricing, so trying to analyze and compare beyond that is generally not worth the effort.
