PLEASE HELP ME figure out what is wrong with echeveria chroma

Pictureds are in the comments.. I received this from a friend who had recently dropped it hoping I could help it. The leaves are wrinkly and the tips are browning but it isn't overwatered. The roots are compact (what few roots there are) I feel like there should be more roots. The stem was yellow and pink and now it's going back to pink and red. It seemed like it was getting sun burned in full sun so I reduced to just bright sunlight instead. It's lost a lot ofnleaves but I don't want to lose it. Any tips or answers

If the leaves are wrinkly, it COULD be thirsty?

Not sure about the soil - it needs to drain fast. Adding lots of sifted perlite or pumice will help; at least 50/50%.

Pot needs to have drainig hole.

Roots can regrow if none or few. I would cut off any dry, rotted or otherwise damaged.

Color should be rich - it will be in plenty of sunlight. BUT plant needs to be acclimated, or it may burn.

If my plant, I would cleaned it up (cut/trim roots, get rid of old soil); let any cuts to callus & pot in small pot with well draining mix. Don't water for another day if any cuts were made. If there are any roots, start wateringafter. If no roots left, it needs to re-root & not be in wet soil = NO ROOTS-NO WATER...watering should be paused for a while. Put pot in indirect light & move into stronger & stronger every few days. It should get, eventually, at least 6hrs/day of good sunlight.
