What size is your bank? 100K for custom cabinets? 60K for semi cabinets? National mid grade average 25K for cabinets? 5K for a pro to paint your small kitchen of existing cabinets?

What would be in the 100k not 250k range?

Lots of factory cudtom could be in that fance. Plato, Omega, Rutt, etc. Or a local high end true custom maker. Not a parts orderer. Someone who does Zebrano veneer curved slab doors, or fumed oak classic Prarie, or all heartwood matched cherry, or mesquite slabs with battens, or slip and bookmatched walnut library panels, or a quartersawn sapele entertainment cabinet with integrated custom speakers from the local tube and vinyl shop.

Your wants and room size sets your budget. If you have a limited budget, it dictates the number of wants that are actually achievable. Sometimes, if the budget is completely unrealistic, none of the wants, but most of the needs are achievable. No one “needs” stacked cabinets to 14’ celing in a 20x30 room. But if they want it, they’d better have a multiple hundred thousand dollar budget for it.
