Panel ready DW are made to fit in standard DW openings. There should be no difference in width or space needed between the adjacent cabinets for a standard vs. paneled DW.

my SIL bought an IKEA dishwasher - made by whirlpool. Fit in her standard 24” opening. It too is panel ready. Have you measured the widthof the panel? Good Luck finding the dw you want!!

Depends on how much "rough opening" they left. If they left 24" exactly, you're fine with any dishwasher. If they left a smaller amount than that, you might NOT be able to fit standard American DWs. Bosch or any euro model would likely fit though. Check the actual opening WIDTH.

Most IKEA appliances are made by Whirlpool. The width of the carcass of the panel ready DW they currently sell is 23-7/8" so I am thinking the opening you have available must be 24" plus, anyway.

Before replacing the dishwasher (and many models are hard to find), consider insulating the dishwasher to quiet it. It'll be much easier to slide it out, insulate it, and slide it back in than to replace it. Here are a few articles on the subject:

Make sure you can get a dishwasher before you tear it out. Bosch has aupply issues.

I was told last week Bosch DW are 9 months out and some parts are made in Ukraine. i have seen a few on sale from online stores more expensive then the escalated price in brick and mortar stores. did they fall off the truck on the way to waiting customer as some appliances do?
