Hi guys,

We just bought our first home that was initially built in 1946, but completely remodeled in 2017. The living room only has these 2 small rectangular windows (picture below).

We are hoping to:

1. Remove the built ins (reconfiguring the layout so that the TV is on the wall opposite instead of where it currently is)
2. Turn the 2 smaller windows into longer/full sized windows
3. Add a 3rd window in between the current two (where the built ins currently are)

My questions are:

1. I know replacing old windows increases value, but does adding entirely newwindows/increasing the size of small windows increase value as well?
2. Does anyone have a general idea of what it costs to add new windows?

• The exterior of the house is fiber cement
• Shouldn't cause any issues with rerouting electrical from what we understand currently
