I have a purpleleaf sand cherry bush that i planted approximately 4 years ago. It has been growing well. i noticed for the first time that the branches are starting to lean over this Spring. They have always stood straight up. It very well could be the branches are getting heavier, but when I research mature ones the branches all appear to stand up straight. i may be reading too far into this, but I was also wondering if the cicadas might have done something to it? I did have to cut more off than usual in the fall

due to cicada damage. can anyone help me out? I am posting what it looked like last year compared to this year. You can really tell the difference. there are a lot of dead accessory branches in the middle, but the branches have new growth on the top
