Matching electrical to backsplash example (Anatolia Tile & Lutron)

Hi All,

We are just finishing up our kitchen refresh so I thought I'd show a few photos of what we did with our outlets and switches. We had the traditional white but wanted to go with grey to match the backsplash. The match isn't perfect but we think it looks so much better than the white. We primarily use Lutron Claro in grey with 2 Leviton outlets for the USB and USB-C outlets. Legrande also makes USB & USB-C but I was trying to save a bit of money so didn't use those. We are very pleased with how they look and work. Cabinets will be a grey/green "Intrigue" from Benjamim Moore lightened 25%. Tile - Anatolia Marlowe in smoke gloss and Counter - Boston Granite Exchange quartz Eterno collection in Calacatta Extra

Looks very nice and yes, that looks much better than white.

My struggle was finding matte dimmers and switches that are compatible with my LEDs. Lutron has a buttload of colors, but the majority of them are shiny, and the ones I tried (forget if Diva or Maestro) weren't compatible with the undercabinets -- they buzzed. I ended up with a charcoal color by LeGrand with slate switchplates. But the compatibility issue is really frustrating -- don't have a lot to choose from if you don't want glossy and then the slim pickings there are in matte make the lights buzz and flicker. I mean c'mon -- we can send a rover to Mars for pete's sake but no one has yet solved this blasted LED incompatibility issue AARGH!

BTW: Your backsplash looks very nice with your counter.

Thank you @porkchop_z5b_MI. Our first choice was, the Lutron Architectural Series in Matte Grey but they were a lot more than I wanted to spend AND they didn't have all the configurations I needed. There are several choices on Amazon but I don't like to mess with electrical stuff. It is frustrating knowing what you want and not being able to find it.

I picked the same Anatolia Marlowe in smoke (3x12) tiles for our kitchen backsplash as well. Love how it looks in your kitchen. Would you mind share the grout color and brand you used ? Thanks in advance.

Oh gosh, I don’t remember the color as we picked once the tile was up. I now work in kitchen and bath design and we use TEC Power Grout. I believe they used Lacrtite in my kitchen. If you go with TEC the Silverado color should work. My Lactrite has held up fine. Happy decorating!

@spagano Thanks for getting back to me and TEC silverado grout suggestion. Much appreciated! I will check out Marlow smoke tiles and Silverado. Funny enough you mentioned Silverado since I picked it for the new floor tiles.

@eam44 It is the same tile brand, color and backsplash looks great, why would I not ask? If @spagano is nice enough to respond to my question, what is your problem ? When you don’t have answer or nothing nice to say, you can skip or move along.

Send me a link to the covers and electrical plugs 😄. I also have grey tile in the kitchen. I hate the white covers.

Your best bet is to look at the Lutron and Legrand sites.
