1. Hi! Hoping someone can help diagnose my lemon tree. SKIP TO PARAGRAPH 4 FOR THE ISSUE: I'll start by saying this is the third one to fail on the property. I'm in 10a SWFL with very sandy soil. The first was a lemon/lime that was here when we moved in. It blossomed once three years ago and then it's leaves became incredible unhealthy and curled up and eventually we took it out of the ground and burned it in case it was greening.

2. We planted another in the same location and the same thing happened (although it was much smaller than the original).

3. We purchased a third lemon tree as well as a blood orange tree. We were going to put them in containers but the guy at the garden center said he was an expert with citrus and explained how wide the hole needed to be, how much soil we needed, etc. etc. So we followed his instructions and planted them this time on the opposite side (east side) of the home. The orange tree is flourishing. No blossoms yet, but it's healthy.

4. The lemon tree has been unhealthy since about a week after we brought it home. The leaves turned yellow so I brought them to the nursery we purchased from and she claimed it was greening disease and to fertilize the hell out of it. I looked it up online, and pictures suggested spider mites (supported by the little spiders/webs on the tree) so I started treating it with neem oil. I brought a clipping to a "plant doctor" and he said greasy spot fungus so I have now treated it twice with copper fungicide. The tree blossomed, but the blossoms looked unhealthy and quickly turned brown/twisted up and fell off. The fruit (size of a pinky nail) turned black/brown and fell off as well. NOTE: It also developed a split that I did not cut, I wrapped tape around it. Not sure if that was the right move? I know they can split under stress.

5. There seems to be new growth and those leaves are healthy for the time being. I don't know if that's a good sign or if they'll change as well once they mature. I cook with lemon every day so I was really hoping to keep a tree or two on my property. Any suggestions/advice is GREATLY appreciated!
