I bought a good pineapple plant at Mimosa Nursery in Rosemead, just east of downtown Los Angeles. It made very good fruit, but I had to build a wire cage around it to protect it from critters.

I also bought some pineapple plants at Trader Joe's, but the fruit they made was much smaller and not nearly as good.
