I have a brand new Paradise with its first bud close to opening. So I will let you know how mine looks.

But I would give it a lot more time. I have found that on some roses those first blooms aren't true to what they will be and subsequent bloo.s are much better .

Thanks Kristine! I certainly hope it will catch up later. But I did a search on the forum and people seem to have a lot of complaints on Paradise so I am a bit worried. Please do post yours when it is blooming. Wish yours will do much better.

I think your Paradise will get better as the plant matures…young plants don’t often have the reserves to pull off beautiful blooms.

I don’t think your Tiffany is the real thing. I believe you posted before, but now I see the whole plant:

1. Too many clusters for Tiffany, which is almost always one to a stem.

2. Color is too coral

3. If you had such a healthy Tiffany with that many blooms, you definitely wouldn’t be complaining about lack of scent!

Yours looks more like the floribunda Cherish, or something similar. It looks very nice in your garden.

Thanks so much, Ben. Your comments about Tiffany definitely makes sense. I went to search Tiffany's pictures and see mine are different, in color and cluster form. I have been wondering why my Tiffany is so healthy and waiting for the black spots to show (I don't spray nor plan to do so). We are at east coast with humid and warm spring/summer. I keep thinking I or Tiffany could not be so lucky.

My "Tiffany" does look like Cherish, color and form wise. I'm very happy for having this plant. Now my next goal is to find a true pink and fragrant rose.

Meanwhile I'll also pray for Paradise to get mature. The bad form might also be caused by the recent rains.

Agree with Ben and Paul that your rose isn't Tiffany. But it's great that you like it and it's doing so well for you!

After week’s of rain, Paradise look better.

My Paradise open while I was inside with Covid. But there is another bloom ready to open. I hope to catch this one. Unless of course I get the Monkey pox and miss it again.

In the 90 degree heat, Paradise blooms hold up well. They are almost solid lilac / purple color without variegation. no scent still.

I finally have several blooms and they are beautiful. Mo problems so far. I sure hope that yours improves for you.

well said rifis. Also it is suprising that the blooms gain color variegation one day after they were open.

Paradise has no scent.

But Paradise Found is in my top three favorite scents!

It only looks like that when it's cool and first day of bloom. Then the pink spreads, and it looks closer to Paradise.

But I eagerly look forward to them every year!

Paradise is blooming in 95 degree heat. It looks like it actually enjoys the heat.

I like how deep the out magenta color is and how it fades inside.

it does not have the best bush form, probably due to lack of pruning. I still get unsure about trimming since there is always another bud showing up

Overall it is healthy in our hot humid summer. A very little BSs but not bad. leaves are kept very well.

Getting close to end of season, Paradise is still blooming. The blooms have lost the intense deep magenta color on the edge, still pretty but softer. I can even detect light tea scent nowadays.

For the whole season it gets almost no black spots and stays clean and healthy.
