I'm in the Silene camp.

OK. It could be the Cow Cockle after all. But I’ve never seen that in the flesh so I don’t know if the buds are right.

I guess ill just have to wait and see! i sent a picture to thr picture this app support e-mail and they also think Silene csereii. I did get a ”catchfly” hit in picture this, and that was in an annual mix id put down last year for soil stabilization.

I don't know those nicknames, but S. armeria is common in wildflower mixes.

What factor was used to decide it was that instead of S. armeria?

; ) I hear ya. If you compare the two, I feel like it looks more like S. armeria, but the newest pic of the bloom is far away and a little fuzzy. Compare the buds of the two species.

You know, every time i upload a photo, the resolution goes down terribly, not sure why that is happening. Ill do a compairson of each and let you know!

I should also say i backed up the picture this info with the species list of the mix i sowed :-)

This site has issues, I'd blame the pic quality on that. ;)
