Just closed on our new build and found out that the builder only pre-wired the Ethernet...but did not cut nor install connectors. We have upgraded for several CAT 6 in addition to th standard CAT 5. Called the builder and was told that they don't do it, and we need to contact the internet company. Called the internet company and was informed that they don't do it either. So I guess we'll have to do it ourselves. It's not too hard and we already installed the CAT 5 since we have a cutter. Need to buy connectors for the CAT 6 though. Wondering if this is common that builder doesn't install the connectors? Seems like a half ass job done by them. So far we have had some pretty bad experiences with workmanship etc. on the house.
