No chance it’s Acalypha rhomboidea? I don’t know either of these plants in person, so speaking from a position of complete ignorance.

They are very similar, but my mature vision is not seeing any teeth on the OP’s leaves which Acalypha rhomboidea has.

Acalypha has crenate margins. They get confused a lot, and both like to grow in the same kinds of places, like the bricks in my patio. I think I mistook Pennsylvania Pellitory as Acalypha rhomboidea for years.

FWIW, the pellitory we have here comes up en masse every spring and is very easy to pull.

Interesting. I assumed this was the same weed that I had at our old house, but I remember the old weed having nice, red fall color. The weed pictured seems to be ID correctly as Parietaria (I checked the leaf margins.) The fall color on the old weed must make it Acalypha. They really do resemble each other.
