Selections aside, you will likely need to plant two different ones to achieve decent cross-pollination (Amelanchier sp. are members of Rosaceae) and thus quality fruit set to satisfy birds. 'Cumulus', 'Spring Flurry', 'Autumn Brilliance', 'Prince William' are some named selections. Several seedling plants would also satisfy the requirement.

If there are already Serviceberry plants growing nearby in your neighborhood, then you could very well gain sufficient cross pollination from insects visiting those plants. It is always better to have them closer by.

Once you get (and taste yourself) the fruit, you may want to shoo the birds away and keep it for yourself...

Cumulus and Spring Flurry are more tree-like compared to Autumn Brilliance and Prince William. I don't have any experience with Prince William, but it may be the most compact grower of the 4.
