Japanese Lilac tree issues

Hi there!
Please help with my Japanese Lilac tree!
it opened ip this spring with little curling leaves with browning edges.
it gets ok light; isnt crowded by other plants; and is planted on a bit of a slop.
any ideas? is it saveable?!
