I see the littel spider, but I find tons of webs between my hostas stems and across big leaves, but never saw any brown marks like this. Could it be an early fungal issue? You are much more knowledgable than me so you have probably considered this…….

My test for spider mites is to cut a leaf and hold it over some white printer paper. Flick the leaf a few times with your finger, then look closely. If the little black dots are moving, you have spider mites. Aphids like to cluster and you can see them with the naked eye. Water spray takes care of aphids, mites need hort. oil or soap.

Oh, boy, there is always something. Guess it keeps us on our toes.
