I'd try to give it more time on the charger but of course if the charge doesn't produce the expected duration of use, you and I both know you need a new one.

Its a 1/2” craftsmen. it never could remove lug nuts when new. i used it on a few med duty car projects and it sits. A new battery is not going to make it produce more torque. dad gave it to me. underpowered and bulky.

Perhaps should have discarded it when you first found it wouldn't work for doing what you thought you could use it for.

Got a new battery. $20. it removes lugnuts now. however tight it installs them is definitive now. they go on, they come off. torque? meh. we will see. i bet it has been used <10 times in its entire existince.
