Screen Pattern, started off the season yesterday with 1 bloom. Today this lineup, like a bandleader and his band still getting in formation

ROSE f. KEnnedy is relatively small still, rare to get 2 scapes in bloom facing the same directions and close enough together to get a decent picture.

Westbourne Seafoam Candy is such a pretty shade of pink! Spacecoast Francis Busby is looking great. Mine has not started yet, not have Green Mystique or Back Scratcher. That clump of Screen Pattern grabbed my attention. Rose F. Kennedy looks good. What color would you say it is? It seems like a burgundy purple to me.

So strange I have so many ahead of you, Debra. I think May was dry here, but I think we got more rain than you. Maybe that caused a delay? Rose is rather a hard color, but I think burgundy purple is right. Definitely leans to the red side of purple rather than blue. Back Scratcher has been blooming several days, but has been a bit blotchy. I took a pic of W. Seafoam Candy a few days ago, but the camera did not color as pretty as it is, today it did better.

RFK looks perfect even if they won't cooperate and stay together. Screen Pattern and Thundercat look very good too. Nice post Nancy.

W. Seafoam Candy is lovely, not sure I remember seeing it before…..maybe not many of us growing it. So many lovely blooms here….of course Screen Payern caught my eye. Rose F. Kennedy is such a lovely bloom…..it seems that many are not happy with it, a difficult plant? Is it Evergreen?

Sherry, I like Westbournes, did not plan to get it, because I have several pinks,

but it was a bargain price and I could not resist. I had never seen it before either. I think it is going to be a very good plant. I have heard people have been unhappy with RFK, I remember reading that it is a hybridizers plant, but not sure why that is a problem? It has definitely been hybridized like mad. It did not bloom the 1st year here, or add any scapes. Last year it bloomed nicely and it jumped to 5 fans. The fans are not very large for such a big flower. The scapes look a little weak for the large flowers, but it has survived a couple of very heavy storms without flopping. It is a hard dormant, perhaps it is southern growers that have problems growing it?

I agree about W. Seafoam Candy-very pretty and I have not seen it either. Glad you have it to share the photos. Your clumps are amazing and your photos show them all to a good advantage. Lots of goodies here!

Yes, I have not seen Seafoam Candy offered. One parent is Tahitian Waterfall, which is a fetching pink color. SC is supposed to be Midseason to ML.

May here was one of the wettest on records. Daylily leaves are arching all over the place. What was your source for Seafoam?

I too like Westbourne Seafoam Candy. Rose F. Kennedy is so pretty. The tet. version barely grows for us, but our dip version is looking pretty good this year--hope to see some lovely blooms from it. I also like Blue Throated Hummingbird.

I like that pink on the Westbourne, along with that king of pleated edge. Mantis, I got it from someone on the classifieds on NGA last fall if I remember right. I just can't resist a bargain. Kay, Blue Throated Hummer is rather different. I always thought people did not like that pinched look, but I kinda do. And nice color.

I am certainly happy with my Rose F. Kennedy, really eye catching.
