Are there any rules or opinions on how tall the nightstand should be compared to the bed? The height of my guestroom bed w/mattress is 27". A lot of the furniture stores have nightstands that are shorter than that, which seems short to me. In my bedroom I used accent tables that aren't necessarily meant to be nightstands, so maybe that's why I'm used to having something next to my bed that is taller than the mattress. Just wondering what is normal if there is a normal.
