Seedlings look amazing! (Read that like Trisha Yearwood says it on her cooking show: AhMazing!!!!) All those S. Samantha seedlings are wonderful (and pink!!) The Scarlet Angel seedling is also impressive. And yes, Such a Blaze is a great red!!!

I prefer the more rosy Cexy Sam seedlings from a previous posts, as these colors seem less clear. Only good things about this morning was that it was overcast after another drenching rain.

Mantis - The rose sibling to these S. Samantha seedlings is my favorite because it has a watermark. The color on these is just as clear. The difference is they were taken in the sun.

I do like your seedling Scarlet Angel x Barbara Mandrell. Is the color as rich as the photo shows? Beautiful grouping Debra. You must be thrilled with your seedlings.

Julia - The Scarlet Angel seedling is a rich colored red. But since I don't know exactly how it appears on your screen, I can't say if it's as rich as what you're seeing. I'm thrilled with the ones I post. There are a lot that bloom that are disappointing.

Nancy - You always like the purples. LOL I was surprised to get a purple in that bunch, and I think it has real potential.

Kate - I appreciate your high praise for the seedlings. When I was out watering tonight, I noticed Such A Blaze was the only red I have that kept its color with a heat index of 106.

I'm happy to report that Such A Blaze holds its color very well in these scorching temps. Almost nothing else does.

The other cultivar that still looked great last night was my dark purple UF seedling.

Both of the above photos were taken in the daytime. My pictures last night came out too dark to use.

First, I want to remind you that I am going to need that dark UF. Love it! Whether you intorduce it or not, I still need to get that one. Your Scarlet Angel x Barbara Mandrell seedling is so pretty! My Barbara Mandrell has done really well with blooming this year and a lot of clean blooms too...Of course a lot of splotchy ones. I actually prefer over the one with more edge. It is a pretty thing. Both Pink Extraordinaire x Cexy Sam seedlings are lovely. Pink Lemonade Party x Dearest Valentine is a clear lovely colored pink.

For the regulars, I always like Bill Norris, Woman in Red is lovely, but caught my attention today.

Such A Blaze is a gorgeous red too, but I like your seedling better.

Mantis - The purple UF seedling is Perseus' Sandals X Jumping Jack Flash. I've shown it a couple of other times recently with parentage. Unless you want to buy it, why would you need to know the parentage?

So many pretty pinks. On a hot day, it's nice to see something sweet and cool. Can't choose between seedling #1 or #2. Both have their points............I liked my Pink Lemonade Party too. It was a true pink. Unfortunately for me it wasn't as vigorous as I would have liked given my pot method and eventually I lost it.....................Maryl
