They are most active at night and when wet & after rain. Go out with scissors and cut them. Sluggo also really helps. I do both and it is under control. Sluggo is organic

I use iron phosphate snail and slug pellets - various companies make them. Sluggo is the brand name of one. It's very effective and it breaks down into fertilizer, I understand.

Beer traps also work fairly well. A small shallow bowl or empty tuna can buried up to it's rim in the ground then filled with beer. The slugs swim in and drown.
