Are you painting these on site or ordering painted . IMO no fake woodgrain I like MDF for how it takes paint .

MDF is NOT fake woodgrain. As far as which is better, I would probably go with the Simpson over Masonite.

Patricia, yes we will be painting. I should have clarified , we will be ordering smooth skin. The company’s name is Woodgrain Door Company a part of the Woodgrain Company.

Millworkman, thank you. Would you recommend the one piece molded routed solid MDF door or the stile and rail Redi Prime door by Simpson?

Any advice on company’s that produce NAUF and VOC free doors? Having a history of asthma related heath issues, that is very important.

Also, one supplier uses Woodgrain Door Company from Woodgrain Co and I can’t seem to find people who are familiar with these doors? I don’t know maybe the brand is not used that much.

I would use the Redi-prime as they are true stile and rail door.
