Flying Fox must make quite a statement being so large and dark. But I think Isabelle Rose may be my favorite today. I have that one still in a pot, and it has two scapes. It probably won't bloom until next week. Green Rainbow may have lighter blooms, but it is so prolific! GR makes a wonderful clump. I love the colors on Big Blue Lake and Ethereal Lavender.

Flying Fox sounds like one I really need! Your clump photos are all so good, I agree with Debra, my favorite is Isabelle Rose. I love mine, my favorite white, and probably my favorite of that form too.

I have thought about ordering from Ron Reimer and you posted two of several that are on my list (Flying Fox and Ethereal Lavender). I am also looking at some of his patterned dips to hybridize with. Thanks for posting those pictures. ISABELLE ROSE is my favorite. It is a great looking plant. I would also agree with Mantis about WOMEN SEEKING MEN being a bully. It needs a lot of room.

David, I really like the Reimer form. He appears to be a harsh culler of blooms and plants that don’t meet his standards. I would love to be standing on the other side of the fence when he tosses his rejects!! I also have Strawberry Smoothie, Purple Sails and Rose Pink Sparkle

Flying Fox looks like a nice addition to your gardens, a great purple bloom. so many beautiful clump shots today. Big Blue Lake caught my eye, so did Substantial Evidence as always. Its crazy what the heat did to Green Rainbow, it still looks pretty. I am wondering of the heat will have an impact on my blooms since the buds were forming then.

I like those full flat forms! Flying Fox, Purple Sails and Strawberry Smoothie all hit the spot!

I also like Astral Voyager [super great color], & Spider Miracle. I don't get near the amount of blooms for my SM; maybe it likes your weather better.

Sherry, I hope the heat has not impacted your buds. I have never seen this in my garden. Yes we get hot in August but all but rebloom is done by then. I have distressed foliage and buds drying up. We have another week of this.

Brad these blooms are big and flat-so hard to depict how pretty FF was but imagine a bloom almost covering a dinner plate.

Interesting about your SM. This is a monster clump partially under a tree and it always performs like this.

I, of course, really like Flying Fox.You have a lot of gorgeous clumps, Kate. Isabelle Rose- is a beautiful bloom and more so in an elegant cluster like this. Green Rainbow looks wonderful. That is a beautiful pairing in Women Seeking Men and Stardust Dragon. Big Blue Lake is very eye catching. Spider Miracle is a beautiful clump. Wonderful colorful clumpp-filled post! And garden shots to boot. What's not to like about this one?

I didn't use the word "thug." But it certainly is a space hog. I have had to trim leaves on a lot of plants this year. Who is Ron Reimer? I see that he does only dips.

Kate: These are so lovely and with your heat and humidity they really show themselves quite nicely. I too like Flying Fox the color is very intense and the form is quite nice. Great post. Edit: I just checked out his site. WOW.

Nice to see how well Reimer daylilies are doing for you. Flying Fox is a dark beauty, especially as the bloom is large and flat.........I can see why you like Isabelle Rose and I always enjoy seeing how your Substantial Evidence is doing for you..............Maryl
