You already have a granite backsplash. If you do not like the wall color you could paint it. But no need for tile. So you can check that off the list and go on to the next project... :)

just paint above the granite b/s. with additional tile, it will look way overdone.... keep it simple, just paint.

Well i guess i should have mentioned, we are taking that off. im not particularly fond of my granite so less is better lol.

If you are removing the current backsplash then tile with the larger format tiles with white matching grout. I dislike grout and feel more lines are messy looking but it will be what you think looks good to your eye in your space. Do a mock up of the different sizes and post as a vote and see how varied your responses are...

what color grout were you thinking?

well then i would pull a color from your counters, vs. going with a white tile, whichi don't think goes with your counters.

its very hard to pull off a white b/s with white cabs. if u don't match exactly, then it will surely look like a 'miss'.

I think the 3x6 is fine. I suspect they're all going to look good if they're the right color.

I'd probably base it on whether I could get it in without cutting the tops or not, but I might be lazy.
