Help With Flooring!

I need someone who can help me decide on what to do about floors ? I'm rebuilding after a home fire they put in redoak hardwood's downstairs ( Might go w coffee brown ) not sure that or provincial?? I want to avoid any orange undertones. Now upstairs they are installing LVP Shooukd I try & match the stain which might be coffee brown or do I go with something completely different upstairs? The stairs will be stained tje same color as downstairs. You can't really see the top but I don't want yo look like I tried to match n messed up ? Please tell me whT to do im so stuck n need help I gotta get back in house. Thanks

In general, people are advised not to put fake wood next to real wood. If you had one thing downstairs, carpeted stairs and then LVP upstairs the two wouldn't be next to each other so it would be more acceptable. The issue is that the real wood will make the LVP look extra fake. Is it an option to continue the real wood in the upstairs hallway and carpet the bedrooms? A lot of people don't like carpeting - except in bedrooms.

All of the " midtone " brown brought out the red more ? I was trying to go lighter but it's tough with the undertones of red oak so idk if "Jacobean " or Dark walnut is the best option? I have pets so I'm worried about the maintenance too ? The floor lady seems to think it will close up my house but the " coffee brown " is just as dark but has the redish undertones im tr6to avoid? I just don't know what to do anymore? Thanks for any suggestions?

The one to the left in first pic is the coffee brown n the other is jacobean. I brought the sample outside n wow the coffee shows ALOT of red ?? The last pic is " Dark walnut " next ro other samples ? Maybe Dark walnut or jacobean? I know jacobean has a green tint so might be the best option but she scared me about it closing up my house ?

The kind of light you get in the room affects how the floors (and everything else) looks. And the colours of your walls and furnishings will affect how red your floors appear. For example, if your wall paint has green undertones, any red that's around will just pop.

Show us the room where you'll be seeing the most flooring.

Having had red oak, I think it's always going to look a little red. If you don't like it, you're just going to be fighting an uphill battle. And I never cared for ours, but some people love it. I'm glad it's gone.

I guess my point is, you may need to embrace the red oak-iness of it, and just do that throughout your home.

I don't like any of the samples...the oak pattern is way too obvious and fake looking.

Take a look at Karndean oak...this one is Winter.

How can real oak look fake? That said, I'm not a big fan of high contrast graining. If I had to choose one of your samples without seeing the space, I like the coffee brown stain best. It's rich and warm looking.
