I can't say if it will be as durable, but it certainly won't level the same way and you won't get as smooth of a surface.

I use BM paint exclusively. There's been alot of supply issues with Advance. I would contact the BM dealer in your area directly and ask if it's even available.

I think the BEN line is their cheapest paint - almost "contractor grade". It is NOT a trim paint. Their story sounds fishy to me. They need to sand it off (at their expense) and start over.

In fact, I would check your contract. If it's not in writing, or they didn't follow it, something's up.

If the Advance is not available, I would recommend the Scuff X Satin.

Oh, one more thought. If they're doing a "repaint", why are they using a bonding primer? InsulX Stix is one of the best - waterborne, no odor, low VOC. We've used it for over 10 years, and it's never failed. (However, it is not a stain blocker.)
