Poll - Mixed metals in bathroom - what about shower rod?

We are mixing metal finishes in a hall bathroom remodel - polished chrome sink and shower fixtures and black lighting, mirror, towel holder, knobs. Question is - what finish for the shower curtain rod? Chrome because it’s part of the shower with chrome fixtures or black because it’s an accessory?

    Curved shower curtains work well in tubs, but if you have a shower with only a short curb or no curb, you will have trouble with a curved rod. I would go for a chrome rod for only one reason - no chipping. Who knows how a black rod will age? Might the color start to scratch or chip in the future? Chrome rods will not do that!
