Wednesday's Wonders

Everyday a few more start to make an appearance. Many blooms are smaller than years past. A couple are blooming at the incorrect time as compared to years past. At least I am getting some color in the garden. The following pictures were taken after I got home from work, as the morning temps was in the low 50s and things were a little slow in opening.

OUR FRIEND OLIN: Substance was still thick. It is still flat with all of the ruffles. It is loaded with buds and the branching is not bad.

METAPHYSICAL MOMENT: Blooming much earlier than years past

BUTTERCREAM

JP MONEYBAGS: seems to be early as well.

Our Friend Olin is so pretty-color and form. Butter Cream is one of my favorite yellows-so big and flat.

Olin and Buttercream are my favorites as well.… thats a great yellow daylily, I am appreciating the yellows more and more.

Loving Our Friend Olin too! I have Buttercream and am really enjoying it too. Second year for me, and I had to move it this spring. It hasn't really settled but is still doing pretty good.

Nice group and I agree with others that Our Friend Olin is quite striking. I should go and lookup Buttercream since I do like yellows.

Meataphysical Moment has such pretty colors, and Our Friend Olin is a pleasing ruffled pink. I think a lot of the more northern gardens have had things blooming early. I'm still waiting for some of the mids to start when it's time for the lates here.
