my Little Treasure died..it's true that it didn't get much sun..

I thought "hosta need to grow in the shade" when I moved in..this forum has educated me..

LT and Praying Hands are my biggest fails..PH is nearly gone..LT is gone for good..

The only Little Treasure I have is in shade. It grows well, I would say try it and just keep it watered.

Nicholsworth, I also failed completely with Praying Hands--not getting another either. Debra, maybe I will try LT since I have dappled shade.

I loved my Little Treasure. It lasted about 2-3 years, then didn't come back after winter. Anyone remember Sparkler? That was a real beauty, too, but was not hardy either.

miles..I have a mental list of hosta that I consider finicky..but then someone will post a pic of a "finicky" one that's beautiful!!!..

doesn't it surprise you when a hosta fails?..it was comforting to know that Praying Hands didn't do well for you (and others)..

I guess some gardens and some plants aren't a good fit..

That's a huge hosta! I will have to post my Paisley Print under the right topic since I can grow that one.

Thanks everyone!! someone in this forum or maybe the perennial forum, posted a pic of their border planting of LT and I just fell in love with it! Don’t think I’ll find the number of plants i need this year, but hopefully next year when ordering opens.

The HL shows size as 6x11…….. it looks bigger——- wondering tj and beth, does it stay close to those specs in your opinion?

As I said, mine is about 30 inches across. It is about 10-11 inches high.

rouge21, what size do your LTs measure? As large as tjs, 30 across, 10-11 ” high??

Hey @djacob Z6a SE WI there are 21 LT in this border.

And yes each of the 21 are of very similar size as posted by @tsugajunkie z5 SE WI ♱.

(The top two thirds gets full sun while the bottom third experience much more shade and yet all the hostas are essentially the same size).
