Very nice Tika. I have a noid that I think might be similar but the peduncle hasn't opened yet and it's driving me crazy! It's been a "bud" for over a week now. Yours looks great. Please post more pics when you get a chance.

@Bill M. this gracilis smells like caramel and I did taste it also tastes like caramel 😋 I could not remember which one you tasted and thought it was terrible.

Tika, I posted in Let's see some peduncles my latest picture. I thought it was a gracillis such as yours, but after comparing the images I believe it's a Hawaiian Purple. SoCal sent me a link and they look identical, mine and hers. So I guess I have a hawaiian Purple.

Best of luck with yours, the blooms look perfect. Is the nectar sweet? I tasted the hawaiian (had to fight the ants for it since they were all over the blooms this morning) but after winning the battle I now know why they fought so hard - it's very sweet.

Tika, I'm pretty sure it's Hawaiian purple too. It was a noid for almost two years, until it finally bloomed.
