the green you have is great with the red brick.

I would go with the same color, a board and batten or clapboard style

and work on modernizing the porch.

I'd eliminate the arch look.

Change the color of the door to a deeper red

and replace the wall sconces with something larger.

You have a lovely home. Don't paint the brick. Keep the siding to as close to the color it is now. Maybe a little more sagey green. The only thing I don't like is the bright red door & black storm door. I would paint them both the same color - maybe the color of the red maple in front of your house

Thank you both! We moved in in September and I've also thought the front door had a little too much orange in it. If I keep it a similar green would it make sense to paint the trim a different color to give it a little more pop? Maybe SW 7008 Alabaster?

You might check Home Depot. They special ordered cement shakes for me that were much like yours.

I like the current colors used on your home. In my opinion, the white and black modern farmhouse scheme is overused and I don't think that it goes with your home's architecture. Your home has  more architectural details than the typical modern farmhouse does in my area.

Maybe go a bit darker with the green.

Thanks for your suggestions! I was really interested in painting the trim a different color, but that doesn't really work if I keep it green. You are all right though that the green is great with the brick! We still have all the original single pane windows, most of which are in pretty bad shape with a lot of wood rot and painted closed. Would it look okay to use white window frames? Or do I need to go tan/bronze?

I would not do white mutton / windows. If your budget permits, I'd use Pella architectural with "True Divided" panes that are paintable. Windows can really make or break the house's printable. On your home, the windows are like jewelry.
