Is it in shade? It might need more sun for best leaf color.

It gets fairly hot morning sun, and actually early afternoon sun as well. I was wondering if that were the issue, but it does get about 5-6 hours of sun. LOL which is about as good as it's going to get in my yard! I could place it out near the vegetable garden to see if more sun helps. Which would negate the whole point of enjoying it on my patio but if it's not meant to be....

I winder if you have some spider mites as well. Everything here is infested this year with the dry weather and my not-so-reliable watering.

I agree! : ) That silver look on your plant, instead of purple, is what I've seen from these plants when I've put them in more sun in the past. It's an OK look, but I do prefer the purple.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Thank you all for your input. These are on my patio, so if I want to keep them there it's hard to find much more shade than there is, but I will try moving them a bit to see if that helps. And I will check to see if there are spider mites as well. Yes, this summer is turning out to be very dry. Nothing, especially in pots, is really thriving; sometimes it's even more like just surviving lol.
