Lighting Design Questions

Hi, we are building a house and I am to the point I need to finish choosing my lighting. I want to do a crystal chandelier in my foyer and also some sort of fun crystal pendants over our island. Our great room which is between these two rooms is 24/24 with a 16' vaulted ceiling. Would it look ok to put the double wagon wheel chandelier in here or is it a no no to mix the styles. I have a lot of antiques and my friend tells me I an Euro Farmhouse style more than American Farmhouse.

Also, what size sconces would look best next to my front door. It is a double 3/4 glass 7' door.

All these decisions. :)

Thanks for any input and advice.

IMO they do not work together I have no clue as to these styles and how your home looks . I would need to see your furniture and honestly I have no idea why anyone needs a 16' ceiling ever .

These items are not selected in a vacuum. Do you have a folder of images for inspiration? Have you created Room Boards for each area?

Crystal in a kitchen with heat and grease can be a lot of cleaning.

Your contractor is looking for positions for lights and how many ceiling boxes are required for surface lighting. I don' think you have to select the exact fixture but you need to know what you intend to install.

you are on your own for the crystals

... the exterior sconce should be substantial, 1/3 of the door size.

Be aware of light polution, enclosed downward shining sconce, Please.

(no one want to look into a bare bulb)
