Old garden roses for hot, dry climate?

Hi folks! I'd like to build out a small-ish rose garden, and I've heard great things about old garden roses. Do you have any recommendations for OGRs that are exceptionally fragrant and repeat bloom a lot in the low desert? I've been looking at Mme Isaac Pereire, Rose de Rescht, Francis Dubreuil, and Duchesse de Brabant... Any feedback on these? Or can you think of any that do better wrt fragrance and blooming? Thanks!!!

Live in a hot dry climate and my favorite rose is Mme Isaac Pereire. It is a heavy, fragrant bloomer in my garden

I‘ve tried mme isaac Pereire in las vegas and it wasn't happy but maybe you will have better luck. Madame Joseph Schwartz is a sport of duchesse de Brabant that has been succesful here as well as Dr Grill. They both have the tea rose scent but aren't super fragrant. Francis Dubriel survived a couple years in a pot but didn't love our heat.

More important than the actual rose is probably where you have it sited. Afternoon sun or against a wall that throws off reflected heat are really tough. If you have a morning sun only or filtered shade spot it will be a lot easier grow what you want.
