Hello, Houzers! Can fiber reinforced self leveling (pourable) gyp-Crete product fix this - or is the damage too deep for a pourable product to ever fully dry and set up properly? Do I insist on contractor replacing it instead of repair? Replace on his dime or mine? The ceramic floor tiles were meant to stay on for eternity. The demolition crew tried a small electric scraper then switched to sledgehammer. Now I am left with this damaged gyp-Crete subflooring, in some places the chicken wire is showing, in others the ceramic tile adhesive layer is left. This is a condo in Virginia Beach Va, and we need 3/4” thick gyp-Crete for fire resistance rating and condo regulations. The sub floor must be absolutely level, the new floor will be floating luxury vinyl planks.
