Your photos aren't enlarging when clicked on so we really can't see it very well. Take photos when the front of the house is hit by the sun so we can see the details of what you have. Everything is just dark and in the shade. Looks like xeriscape would work well for your yard.

The roof looks new. If so, I would keep that gray color in mind when painting. Agree shutters need to go. Consider unifying the stone and siding color and then popping in a fun color for trim.

Thank you both for input. We were thinking to change the roofline, is that something you wouldn't recommend? and really just removing shutters and painting are enough for an update?

Landscaping will be the major factor in updating, but we can't see the front door. That will most likely need an upgrade and you'll need new exterior lighting too, as well as new house numbers. We just aren't getting all the info with these pix.

Maybe use Cedral to give it a fresher look? I am not a professional, but I had it installed on my house, and it looks much better than the old facade. I am not sure whether it will be relevant to install Cedral here, but you can consult a tsl.uk professional about it. They are dealing with cases like this all the time, and maybe they will give you better advice on the topic than I can. I am unsure which color is better to choose in this case. I would make the house white, but you do you. Also, I would remove those reddish things near the windows because I don’t like how they look.
