Hi. I like the right one ( not an expert). I noticed when we picked grout… that it actually dried lighter than the sample stick. We ended up sealing it to darkened it🤷‍♀️. It’d be nice if the shops mixed some grout up and let it dry…

Thanks Chris! I’m still stuck on the darker one. I think going darker rather than the whitest white is always a smarter choice but the stick sample is so dark compared to online pictures and I really want it all the blend. Thanks!

Hi Chris! That’s my exact dilemma. Online, Ash is presented as a white but the sample in my house looks a lot more grey, it appears to be a newer color so I have struggled to find many reviews/real life pictures of it. I am worried it will be too dark and the grout lines may show the unevenness of the handmade tiles too much. The middle tile is the whitest white so that makes me concerned it may make my tiles look too warm, as they are off white with variation.

Hi. These little details can be stressful especially when money is flying all over the place and it’s such a “permanent” decision. Did the tile company have any of your tile “ mocked up” on a board? If so, what grout did they use. Can you take a picture with interior lights? Might help… seems like it’s in natural light. Or could you buy the ash… mix it up and let it dry on a board? Expensive, but you’ll be better informed and it will lessen decision paralysis ( been there… mine was cabinet pulls and knobs…)

Hi! I am currently trying to figure out grout colors for this exact tile and was planning on using ash! Can you tell me what you decided? Am very worried ash will be too dark. Also am trying to decide on flooring for the bathroom. Did you find one that complements this tile? Thanks so much!

Hi Melinda! I ended up choosing winter frost from C-cure, it was a slightly lighter color than Ash on the samples. However, this ended up looking terrible! The tilers blamed the grout company but it was discolored throughout and looked dirty in spots. To fix it, we used a grout stain in Arctic White! I love the look now. I’ll attach a picture.

I bought Custom building product (Prism Grout) Ash Color. used three boxes purchased at different times, they all dried to a paper white, not even close to the grey color on the chart sample for the product. The grout looks like a white checker board on grey tiles. large sq footage of wrecked tiling. lots of work and expensive to fix. We did another floor using Mapi grout, much better product. Custom must not have very good product quality control testing. be very carefull and dont trust the product without testing first. They may not back the mistakes…Below shows the grout is paper white, not even close to the chart Ash color in the box.
