I’m deciding between wood or MDF painted cabinets from Diamond. The wholesale cabinet company we are using says we should do MDF because it doesn’t swell or show cracks like wood. But I’m worried about how MDF will hold up over the years. On the other hand, I don’t like the cracks that show with a painted maple Shaker cabinet. We live near the beach in California for what it’s worth.
