Where ever you use it, it will definitely be the focal point. It sounds like you don't want to use it on a wall, so other options might be in the back of a bookshelf, a side panel on a dresser, or a dressing screen of some sort.

How about applying to a piece of wood and framing them up like large murals/paintings. Then they would go with you, if you ever move. As a duo above a butler in a dinning room could be fabulous.
