Your photo didn't upload. Tile is a very durable pool coating and should last decades, especially if it is glass, so if tile is being offered to you, go for it. Some installers will only do a plaster or other aggregate coating that will not last as long as tile. Tile can be re-grouted in time if grouting fails. White is an excellent color for pools because it is safe. Swimmers in distress can be much more easily seen and rescued in white or very light pool colors than in dark ones. Pool water has a naturally light blue tint, so white tile will look light blue once the pool is filled. As for colors outside the pool, that depends entirely on your own aesthetic choice and what matches your home and/or garden, as desired.

I installed 1 inch glass tile on my pool and we havent had many problems yet. as far as cleaning 6 inch tile was recommended to me for the easier cleaning but our tile hasnt been too bad yet. one issue i didnt think about with mosaic is the corners. with a straight grid pattern you can end the tile without having to sand down the edge. with mosaic your stuck cutting every other tile in half and then sanding to get a smooth edge. i used the tile for the hot tub surround and had to deal with this tile cutting issue on that, on skimmers, and on the plce the automatic cover goes over
