Fyi , double space = is a feature; Forget where but somewhere in settings for iphone, maybe keyboard you can manage things like this

It may be your device and not the website. I have NO issues typing using my laptop. I don't use the phone app but I do read numerous complaints about its functionality.

I submitted website feedback under the contact link. site definitely is not playing nice with iphone. i’m too lazy to capitalize myself lol.

@eam44 I have exactly the same problem you describe - often have to sit & wait for all I keyed in to show up plus a few more quirky issues - repeating a word when I didn’t key it twice etc. It’s like very slow buffering. I am always using my iPad for this & had wondered if my desktop Mac would have same issues.. I know the problem isn’t my device or connection because it’s only an issue on this site.

Same here with my ipad. ive basically stopped posting because its so frustrating and my post look like an imbecile is writingthem….

If it is the site, then why is this issue so sporadic? Many members have no problems at all with typing and posting so a website malfunction seems unlikely to be the sole cause. I still contend it is the app and the device it is used on that is the source of the issue. So yes, responsibility lies with improving its functionality but not necessarily with the website as a whole.

I’m not using Houzz app on my ipad so don’t think that’s my issue.

I have no problems on my computer, but horrible lagging and missed letters in my ipad , not the app.

Yeah, I’ve finally realized the issues are with the iPad interface. Very, very annoying.

Once it starts bogging down I hit ”Done” and then go back to typing. It works…for a while. I’m on an iphone via Safari.

I have had issues for months now, and rarely post anymore. Just takes too long. No auto punctuation, auto cap, spell correct . . . .etc. I complained about a year ago, and so many others agreed there were issues. But no change.

I dont use the app

I don’t use the Houzz app, either. I use the same GardenWeb link I’ve used for 30+ years. Never had a problem typing, until a year or so ago.

Even when Houzz took over, all was fine using my iPad. Then, what? The powers that be decided not to accommodate the thousands of Apple users who frequent this site? Sheesh.

They have to know about the issues we’re all having. Obviously, Houzz just doesnt care.

omg- thank you for asking this!! same issues with me and sooo many typos as a result! its almost inpossible to use in a coherent manner!

If on an apple device turn off the predictive text function. It is an apple keyboard issue which is well recognized on tech sites and happens on other apps and sites for me.

I just posted question/gripe about this. Where in apple does one ”turn off the predictive text function”?
