Sorry yoyr brand new appliance is unusable. How disappointing and frustrating! While many people have been happy with their Vikings, the highly regarded appliance store we purchased our Miele from sells Viking but informs every buyer that they will no longer service them because of all of the issues they have. Our salesperson steered us very clear of the Viking products.

The gas line recall bit us too. It’s a huge recall, affecting loads of various applications. In our situation, the propane line for our outdoor fireplace was recalled. They had to dig up our patio, remove the recalled gas line, run a new one, then repair the patio area they dug up. Luckily, our patio is paver brick. Our neighbor has a poured stamped concrete patio, so it had to be completey excavated and repoured in order to accomodate their gas line recall repair.

WHAT!!! How could this be? Viking not a high quality top tier appliance manufacturer. They advertise they are among the best.

@dan1888 being sarcastic. The Viking appliances have been getting horrible reviews for many years. The last time Viking was considered good was at least 20 years ago, maybe more. You would have done better with an inexpensive Maytag than a Viking. Before making expensive purchases, always do research and not believe marketing and looks.
