You are so right about how one improvement leads to another even if they are small!

You could do satin brass handles and not change the closet doors. All of my 27 year old builder grade handles look worn and that's what I'm going to do so we don't have to change the hinges. But on the interior of the bathroom door where there is brushed nickel or chrome we use a brushed nickel handle.

@kandrewspa That’s what I am leaning towards. I do believe levers are a more updated look and easier to open. I appreciate the input.

If you have a dog, note that dogs can learn to open doors with levers, but they rarely open ones with knobs. They're scratch the door in the process.

That’s true our neighbors dog got out of their house like that! Ours never learned that, but she would ring a bell whenever she wanted out. Levers have been nice… one finger or an elbow to open when your arms are full.

Ha, Ha, yes, a visiting dog came opened our backdoor that has a lever.

I still like levers because they make it easier for aging hands or full hands to open the interior doors. Thanks to all!
