Blue plumbago

Plumbago auriculata. Unrelated to Geraniums or Pelargoniums. How we see colours is very individual, so you can call it whatever you perceive it to be. To me it would be sky blue.

Seedlings are variable. If you are looking for certain shades of cape plumbago, the most common ones available in CA are generally 'Imperial Blue' --which is-darker than many of the often rather pale seedlings, but lighter than the deeper blue 'Royal Cape'. There is also a white, 'Alba'. These plants are rather vigorous once established, generally mounding in shape when left natural, and can get rather large (7-8' tall, 8-10' wide). They can be kept smaller with heavy pruning, or even be hedged (at the expense of some flowers, but they aren't shy about blooming).
